From experience to evidence

Vaidya Balendu Prakash

Padmashri Awardee · 14 March 1959 — 7 August 2026 · Founder & Founding Organising Secretary, IPCI 2027

From 1997 onwards he systematically documented patients treated through the protocol his father had developed, building a longitudinal cohort of more than 2,800 patients. He envisioned IPCI as the next step: a multidisciplinary scientific platform to critically examine the evidence, address unanswered questions and foster collaboration across disciplines and systems.

About the Conclave

IPCI 2027 is an international scientific conclave dedicated exclusively to pancreatitis, bringing together clinicians, researchers, scientists and allied health professionals to explore the disease across its clinical, scientific and long-term dimensions.

Theme for the conclave

Bridging Evidence, Innovation & Integrative Care in Pancreatitis.

The foundation · From experience to evidence

Three Decades of Systematic Clinical Work

An incidental observation in Meerut in the mid-1970s became a documented cohort of more than 2,800 pancreatitis patients, treated and followed at Padaav Speciality Ayurvedic Treatment Centre — and the reason this conclave exists.
